Information on The Suburb, Epping We Are Serving
“Epping is a suburb located in the north-west of Sydney, in the state of New South Wales, Australia. It is 16 kilometres from the Sydney central business district and is in the local government area of the City of Parramatta. Epping is also considered part of the Greater Western Sydney region. The population of Epping was estimated at 9,788 in 2016.
The suburb was named after Epping Forest in Essex, England. The first land grant in the area was made to Captain William Bligh in 1800. By 1838, there were 30 farms in the area. In 1867, a railway station was opened and a Post Office soon followed. The area began to be developed for housing in the 1950s.
Epping is bounded by Carlingford Road to the east, Pennant Hills Road to the south, and Marsden Road to the west. The M2 Motorway forms part of its northern boundary.”
