“Castlecrag is a suburb located in the Lower North Shore of Sydney, in the state of New South Wales, Australia. It is situated on the north side of the Spit Bridge, which links Mosman and The Spit to the Sydney central business district. The population of Castlecrag was 2,362 as of the 2016 census.
The suburb was first planned in 1947 by American architect Harry Seidler and his wife Penelope. The original vision was for a city within a city, with apartments around a central parkland. Although many of these plans were not realised, the suburb has a unique feel, with many houses designed by Harry Seidler or his associates.
