“Artarmon is located in the lower North Shore of Sydney, in the state of New South Wales, Australia. The suburb is situated 11 kilometres north-west of the Sydney central business district and is in the local government area of the Municipality of Hunter’s Hill.
The population of Artarmon was 6,898 as at the 2016 census.
Artarmon has a history dating back to 1839 when it was known as Willoughby Vale. The name was changed to Artarmon in 1885 in honour of Sir Henry Parkes who had recently moved into the area.
